Currently there are a number of discrimination lawsuits that have been filed in Los Angeles County against posh country clubs who are accused of discriminating against women and minorities. My firm filed six lawsuits against Angeles National Golf Club and Angeles National Restaurant Service.
For those who are interested I am attaching some documents about these cases.
Case #1 Plaintiff v. Angeles National Golf Club, et al. (Filed by female server who was fired after reporting she was sexually assaulted and harassed by a group of golfers) (The trial was held in July and August of 2012. During the trial, the judge refused to allow the attorneys for the server to present evidence of incidents of harassment and discrimination which took place outside of the presence of the server. This is called "me too" evidence. Other important evidence was also excluded by the judge. We have filed an appeal on behalf of the server.) Case #2 Fone v. Angeles National Golf Club, et al. (Filed by the supervisor of the Plaintiff in Case #1. Plaintiff claims she was fired after complaining that a "security camera" was recording images of female workers' underwear and then broadcast onto large TV monitors throughout the golf club.)
